American Girl Writing & Acting 5-day Camp

Learn filmmaking with dolls! In this American Girl Writing & Acting 5-day camp, students write the script, plan, and film a video to watch at a final premiere day.

Films can be made on any program, including Flipgrid for beginners, along with Stop Motion Studio or iMovie and other video editing or stop motion programs.

The class comes with a 12-page workbook and a video tutorial playlist along with five 1-hour live virtual classes and communication in between classes using Flipgrid videos and classroom posts.

Learn to Make a Stop Motion Animation Movie! (5-Day Camp)

In this Stop Motion Animation Moviemaking 5-day camp, students learn to make a stop motion animation movie to bring their toys to life.

Topics covered include setting up your studio space, adding audio, and using the onion skin along with more advanced topics, such as making items fly or bounce, using green/blue screen, and adding faces to toys to animate them.

This class provides five 1-hour live virtual classes. Students film during class time in a workshop-style setting.

Stop Motion Animation With Stop Motion Studio (Ongoing)

In this ongoing Stop Motion Animation with Stop Motion Studio class, students will complete a weekly stop motion animation challenge. Although it is a club format, students are encouraged to join at any time.

There is a weekly theme, such as Loyalty or Bravery, along with a weekly skill, such as camera angles, crafting props, using the onion skin, and more. Students who have been in the class for weeks can jump into making their movie when class starts, while a new student learns the basics of how to take photos to create the illusion of motion.
