My home always has more candy and dessert than we need this time of year. It’s tempting to let everyone eat as much sugar as they want, but balance is the key to happiness. Setting out these adorable healthy Halloween snacks after school, or as everyone works on homework, or a few hours before sports practice helps them get the nutrients they need. There’s nothing spooky about that!

Banana Ghosts

Bored with bananas? Serve up some banana ghosts! Using melted chocolate, make two eyes and a howling mouth. It’s adorably spooky. The sweet chocolate makes it more appealing to eat!

Clementine Pumpkins

Not so crazy about clementines and celery? Serve them in the shape of a pumpkin! Picking out the perfect pumpkin from the pumpkin patch makes snack time much more fun.

Clementine Jack-o-Lanterns

Buy a bag of clementines at the store without having to worry about them going bad by the end of the week! Surprise your children by giving each clementine a Jack-o-Lantern face. If your children enjoy crafting, give them a Sharpie, and include them in the decorating process.

Apple Monsters

Slice up a snack that’s irresistibly cute with apple monsters! Cut an apple in thirds, removing the core. Use a knife to cut out and create a mouth shape in the middle of the apple. Fill it with peanut butter, and add a slice of strawberry as a tongue. Add seeds as teeth, and use peanut butter to secure the candy eyeballs.
