Crumbs & Whiskers Cat Cafe Review

After waking up bright and early, my daughters and I drove to Georgetown DC to visit Crumbs and Whiskers cat cafe, where the cats were the most playful in the morning. Our appointment was at 11 a.m. when the doors opened for the first guests of the day. Peeking in the window, we could see the cats roaming happily.

Timing Your Visit

We signed up for a 70-minute slot because the appointments were difficult to come by if not reserved in advance. Since visiting was not something we planned to do often, we wanted to make the most of the occasion.

My daughters were a little restless in the last 15 minutes, which was a better situation than pulling them away when they weren’t ready to go. They used the remaining time to rest and enjoy the moment while the sunlight basked in through the window, where the cats happily sunbathed.

Ordering Food and Beverages

We ordered food, which was listed on a menu that had a Levain Bakery logo. My Chocolate Chip Brioche and Vanilla Latte was delicious, and my daughters enjoyed their lemon-flavored baked goods and milk. However, dining does not take place separately from the cat experience. Sometimes, the cats will try to get the food if you leave it on a surface they can reach.

Photo Opportunities

Photo opportunities were plentiful in the cafe! The leaf backdrop with the glowing neon sign was the perfect location for a branded shot, but the cats didn’t often want to leap up and sit on the higher seat. I would recommend getting a photo there, but then spending the majority of the time on the floor where the cats wanted to play.

Location and Parking

Crumbs and Whiskers is located on M Street in Georgetown, near the popular new Glossier shop and a short walk from Book Hill.

Parking is plentiful in Georgetown. I paid $25 for an all-day pass at 3290 M St NW Parking, which was around an 8-minute walk away from the cat cafe. The all-day pass was the perfect choice. We walked around Georgetown until 4:30 p.m., exploring the fantastic selection of shops, checking out the pop-up Cloud Swing photo installation for the GLOW Light Art Experience, and seeing other popular locations, like the exorcist stairs and Call Your Mother Deli.
