Keeping children entertained over the summer can be a struggle! My daughters are staying busy with lacrosse and video editing. However, now that it’s a month into summer, we all need a little rest. Netflix is here to help. Featured today on Enjoying Family Life, I’m sharing the Netflix Family Summer Activity Guide.

Download and print the free 16-page Netflix Family Summer Activity Guide
Inside the Netflix Family Summer Activity Guide, you will find 16 pages filled with activities for your children to do, while watching their favorite shows. Complete fun activities for The Sea Beast, Kung Fu Panda, Lost Ollie, My Little Pony, Shark Dog, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Floor is Lava, The Cuphead Show, Gabby’s Dollhouse, and Cocomelon!
Inside the guide, you will also find tips for helping children navigate Netflix safely. As a mom of two tweens, I found these tools useful. My older daughter is interested in watching shows like Stranger Things, and she will eventually want to watch other older shows too. Parenting through the tween years is all about balancing letting them feel older without giving them more freedom than they can handle.
It’s good to know I can block certain shows, choose maturity ratings, lock profiles, turn autoplay off, and access viewing history. These tools are helpful if you have younger children who don’t even realize what they’re clicking as they watch their favorite shows. If you’re headed on a long road trip this summer, you can also download a few favorite shows onto your device when you are at home so your child can instantly access them later without needing wifi.
Make sure to check out the Netflix Family Summer Guide on what to watch this summer. One of our favorites has been The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib. It’s a bit young for my girls, but talking babies make us all laugh. The show appeals to any age with its funny storyline that continues from the previous movies.
